Water Marbling and Base Coat

After failure repeatedly, I have found success with water marbling.

I've tried water marbling before and hated it because of how messy it was and a large lack of waiting on my end. I tried tape around the nails.  I tried petroleum jelly.  I tried no skin barrier with just a lot of clean up.

Turns out, all I need was a bottle of glue.

Julep's Charlotte, Gloria, and Amy

I used a paint brush to cover the area around my nails clear glue (including underside and right under the edge of the nail) and followed a mix of water marbling tutorials to get the look.  GLUE.

It was so much easier to do and there wasn't a huge mess to clean up, just some glue to peel off my fingers.

But, I forgot to put on a base coat...

Less than 24 hours later, it peeled and chipped.  Remember the base coat!!!

Super flash off.
